11 days / 10 nights · Small international group · US$1,099 per person

NOT A TOUR. NOT A RETREAT. A RETURN TO THE ROOTS.

Meet the India that cannot be packaged into a reel.

India interrupts you. She asks you to look again—and often gives you something you did not know you were searching for.

This journey moves slowly through riverbanks, temples, family landscapes and living traditions. There is yoga and meditation, but also shared meals, long conversations, village life, sacred stories and the unexpected human moments that make travel real. We are not collecting destinations. We are learning how to arrive.

ROUTE

Delhi to Khajuraho

DELHI → RISHIKESH → ORCHHA → ROOTS OF SHANTI → KHAJURAHO

The Eleven-Day Journey

The route has a deliberate rhythm: arrival, immersion, transition and integration. Timings may adapt to transport, weather, festivals and local conditions.

Day 1 · Arrive in Delhi

Meet the group, settle into the hotel and join an opening circle covering cultural etiquette, safety, the route and our shared intention.

Day 2 · Delhi to Rishikesh

Travel to the Himalayan foothills. After time to rest, walk beside the Ganges and witness the evening river aarti.

Day 3 · Yoga, Ganga & Sacred Stories

Begin with yoga and breathwork, explore spiritual spaces with context, and close with meditation beside the river.

Day 4 · Nature & Inner Practice

A slower day of yoga, a guided nature walk, personal time, a spiritual workshop and evening storytelling. A safe Ganga dip is optional where conditions allow.

Day 5 · Toward Central India

A coordinated rail and road journey carries the group from the Himalayan north into the heart of India.

Day 6 · Orchha

Walk through palaces and temples, meet the Betwa River and discover the layered sacred history of Bundelkhand.

Day 7 · Orchha to Roots of Shanti

Enter the rural landscape, receive a traditional welcome and learn about the land, regeneration, education, tree planting and community vision.

Day 8 · Life on the Land

Share meditation, a local breakfast, cultural exchange and a community-led seasonal activity connected to farming, water or restoration.

Day 9 · Khajuraho

Explore the UNESCO temple landscape with specialist guidance, looking beyond the familiar images to its symbolism, craftsmanship and spiritual philosophy.

Day 10 · Integration

Begin with meditation, enjoy unhurried local exploration and gather for a closing circle and celebratory dinner.

Day 11 · Departure

After breakfast, receive assistance with departure to the most practical rail station or airport according to the final group plan.

Travel slowly. Listen deeply. Return with a different heart.

YOUR HOST

Travel with Sagar Pandit

Mountain guide, spiritual storyteller and pilgrimage leader from Bundelkhand.

Raised in a traditional Brahmin family, Sagar studied Sanskrit in Hampi and has travelled widely across India. He brings together Himalayan guiding, sacred travel, village culture, ecological awareness and storytelling—welcoming guests as fellow travellers rather than customers being moved through a package.

Travel Responsibly

Your journey supports the wider Roots of Shanti vision: tree planting, farmer support, waste reduction, water conservation, children’s education and cultural learning.

Any service activity is seasonal and community-led. It is participation with humility—not charity arranged for photographs.
