Founder of Roots of Shanti
Sagar Pandit is the founder and driving force behind Roots of Shanti. Born in Bundelkhand into a traditional Hindu Brahmin family, he studied Sanskrit for two years in Hampi and has travelled through more than 22 Indian states. These experiences shaped a vision where care for land, learning, spiritual practice and responsible travel belong together.
As a Himalayan mountain guide and trekking and summit-hiking trip leader, Sagar leads small groups through remote landscapes with respect for weather, altitude, local communities and sacred traditions. His work also includes pilgrimage journeys, cultural storytelling and creating meaningful encounters between visitors and India.
